DISTRICT 7815 Enviro Club Awards In 2022–2023, District 7815’s Environment Committee introduced the Enviro Club Awards to encourage District 7815 clubs to enhance their environmental impact.
The structure of the Enviro Club Awards is based on an annual progression from an initial application for the Bronze+ Award, then Silver+, and, finally, Gold+. Each level has increasingly rigorous criteria to meet.

This year, we are thrilled to announce the Rotary Club of Charlottetown received the Bronze+ Award, one of only three awarded across the District this year; the award was presented by the District Governor at the annual District Conference in Halifax.

In the 2025–2026 presidential year, we will submit our application for the Silver+ Award.

Requirements for a Silver Award

- Initial qualification: A club must have previously achieved the Bronze level.

- Continuing projects: The club must continue with and improve an existing environmental initiative that was part of its Bronze award application. This could be the mini-forest project that we started to organize last year.

- New projects: The club must launch at least one new major environmental initiative. Ideas are welcome!

- Documentation: The club must document projects with photographs and other details for its application.

- Award structure: The award structure is based on annual progression, so clubs must re-apply each year to maintain their award status.

Please note: To be eligible for the + designation, at least 25 percent of our members need to complete an assessment of their ecological footprint, as we did last year.

You don’t need to share your score; however, you must let me know that you completed the assessment. Ginny’s contact info is here.
