Easter Seals is well underway. The School Bus Tour is gearing up. I am attaching the tour schedule. The tour leaves from the Holiday Inn Express, TCH, as posted. Rotarians are invited to join the tour on any of the six touring days. You can pick half a day or the whole day. Lunch is provided on the bus. We hope we get lots of volunteers and don't forget to wear your Rotary garb please.

Hannah Bell, Chair of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Literacy Foundation, has sent a bulletin to our Club announcing that her committee has confirmed and approved 9 grants to PEI Community Organizations. Keep an eye out for their Press Release. Hannah will be attending at a Club meeting soon to speak about same and she has mentioned that volunteers will be needed for some projects.

A big Club thank you to Director Ginny who just wrapped up our seed fundraiser for the Club operating budget and we have another $1000 thanks to all the Members who bought seeds. Hopefully next year it will be even bigger and better. If any Member has contacts at Vesseys Seeds we would love to partner with them on the fundraiser but this year they did not offer any of these fundraising cofunded projects.  The seed company we used though is Canadian!

Oh and the seed company plants trees for every order and we sold enough seeds to sponsor at least 10 tree plantings!

Last, but not least, please read the letter attached that outlines our involvement in a new focus area of Rotary,  namely Environmental Sustainability. Our Club created a new Director position (Environmental Action) this year. Our eco actions are summarized in Director Ginny's letter. The District created an Enviro Club Program that offers amongst other things, Awards . We are eligible to apply for a Bronze Award this year and applications are due by APRIL 30TH. Director Ginny needs our assistance in completing an ecological footprint calculation via the link below to enable us to compete for this Award. It needs 25% of our membership to complete same. Please do so at your earliest convenience.

Don't forget to read the Minutes from February's Board Meeting and if you have any questions reach out to your President or any Board Member.

Have a wonderful week in Rotary!

Della
